마차 디저트에 환장한 (!) 친구를 위해 전에 본 일본인의 푸드블로그에 여기서 이쁘게 생긴 마차 케이크가 있길래 겨우겨우 찾아간 로즈 베이커리.

그런데 마차 맛의 메뉴는 이 브라우니 밖에 없었다.

그리고 가장 실망스러웠던건 서비스가 영...

일본에서 겪은 서비스는 정말 친절 하고, 효율적이고, 아주 흡족했지만

여기서는 무슨 일이 있었는지 우리의 이 (벌써 다 만들어진) 페이스트리랑 쥬스를 30분은 넘게 기다려야 했다.

드디어 웨이트레스한테 아주 정중히 손을 들어 물어보자, '아 곧 나올겁니다' 하더니

그제서야 쥬스블렌더가 윙- 하는 소리가 키친 속에서 들려왔다.

우리의 주문을 잃어 버렸던가 잊어버렸나보다.

그런데 사과도 별로 하지 않고, 영 맘에 들지 않았다.

일본스럽지 않은.

내 타트는 그래도 아주 탱이 있고 맛있긴 했다. 사이즈가 커서 배가 매우 불렀던.

(the world's most expensive/rip-off omuraisu at that)

at isetan restaurant floor in shinjuku.

(한국에서 신세계에서 서민식 볶음밥같은걸 먹는 거같은 느낌?

사실 이런데서 이렇게 비싼 돈을 주고 이런 걸 먹고 싶은 계획은 조금도 없었으나

친구가 갑자기 배고파 돌아가시겠다고 해서 헐수없이...

밥은 그저 케첩으로 버무리고 내용물이라고는 위에 올린 자그만 고기 뿐...

마차 디저트들도 (단순하지만) 맛있었지만,

의외로 커피도 아주 맛있었다.

역시 맛있는 모스버거.

닭똥집 이 제일 맛있었다.

오랜만에 (어렸을 때 한국에서 먹은 이후로 처음인듯) 먹어서 그런지.

츄하이는 생각보다 덜 달고 그냥 알코올 맛만 나서,

5분의 1도 못 마시고 나왔다.

얼굴도 벌써 빨개지고.

일본이 잘 하는 파페 - 바나나, 크림, 아이스크림, 초코렛브라우니가 만든 맛 음.

분위기는 타워레코즈카페가 진짜 좋아 보였는데,

동행한 친구의 마차 맛 중독/집착 때문에 그걸 찾아 다니느라 못 간...

이렇게 보니 진짜 많이 먹었다.

what's the rush?

looking back, that's what i keep muttering under my breath.

why the rush?

take a moment, compose the frame, take a step back, experiment, find the most beautiful moment, angle, light.

must've been that good ol' friend mr sommer again, tapping me at the heel urging me to keep moving moving moving.

just because in paris everything is beautiful doesn't give you the right to just point and shoot at random.
