(the obligatory additional post to cover the overly personal post before this)
i first fell in love with this song, almost immediately, watching a cover done by an ordinary person.
i don't even remember how i stumbled upon that particular blog - i did end up following him on twitter and maybe lastfm and also his blog, for a little while, but i don't any more and have forgotten his nickname to try finding it again - but regardless, there was a video posted on this blog, not by the blog owner himself but of his friend.
he sang the song and played the ukulele. it was beautiful. just right amount of a rough, untrained voice, singing the song so earnestly and amateurish.
i love lucid fall but we all know his voice is incredibly weak. i actually don't love sung sikyoung's singing version of this either, because he's too soft, too technically accurate or whatever, but i don't have a happy medium.
if only i could find that old blog again, or that same old guy who sang it with the ukulele.
doesn't it just want to make you cry?
i'm clearly very sentimental again tonight.
i'd like to blame the full moon.
